NARRATIVE DEVELOPMENT • MESSAGING
Scripps College
What does it mean to be a women's college preparing leaders for 2050?
Scripps College came to us with a question about connecting with Black and Brown students. When we arrived on campus, we discovered they were asking something bigger: What does women's leadership education look like for Gen Alpha? How do you prepare students for an uncertain future? How do you speak to who you're becoming while honoring who you've been?
Through discovery workshops and strategic sessions, we listened for the tensions they were navigating. We watched for the gap between what they wanted to communicate and what students actually needed to hear. We created frameworks that turned contradictions into strengths, developed language that resolved false choices, and built a manifesto that positioned them not as defenders of tradition but as architects of what's next.
The work included developing their core value statement, creating testable campaign concepts mapped to real implementation channels, and building materials to align their board and stakeholders around a shared vision. We gave them pathways to test new messaging across campus touchpoints while maintaining what makes Scripps unmistakably Scripps.
What we delivered: Brand discovery & stakeholder workshops, strategic positioning frameworks, brand manifesto & value statement, campaign concept development, implementation strategy with testing pathways, board alignment materials
